Oh say, can you Sea...foam?

If anyone is interested, Pep Boys has Seafoam on sale for $5.88/can, if I remember right. Limit of 2 cans. That's $2 off their regular price. Sale ends 07/12.

At the risk of sounding stupid and a thirst for knowledge, because I'm never to old to learn,
what is SEAFOAM used for?

You don't want to quench that thirst with Seafoam. Seafoam is a chemical fuel/oil additive that works wonders in fuel injection systems. You add 1 oz per gallon of fuel every now and then to keep the injectors and combustion chambers clean. In oil, you use it prior to an oil change to loosen up sludge and gunk, so it drains out with the oil. It's really good stuff.

I think BD said once it tasted great on his lasagna, or something.

If you've been running synthetics in your crankcase you motor should be very clean inside already.

I also pour some directly into the spark plug hole and let sit overnight. Mostly for the piston tops and valves. This is after a good toothbrush scrubbing of the throttle bodies with it as well. The fun starts the following morning when you start it up! Smoke like you've never seen coming out of your exhaust! Like a 4th of July smoke bomb for about a minute!! Runs tiits after that. I do this every 6 months.

Thanks for the information and it sounds like something that would be worthwhile to use. There is a Pep Boys in the area so I will check that out. Thanks again everyone for the info.

Stopped in today at O'Rielly's for a can of Sea Foam. They wanted $7.97 a can. Went to Wal-Mart
got it for $5.87 a can. Cheapest I found so far.

Personally, I'd gladly pay $2 more to not have to deal with Walmart.
