Motorcycle Cruiser Nomad comparison

The October issue compares the Nomad against other hardbaggers.

Here is some of what they say (they did pick the Nomad as the winner).

"The Nomad was the most popular bike whenever the roads got "twisty. Even though it ranks in the middle in terms of ground clearance, the Nomad's stiff chassis and predictable steering makes this the bike to beat in the mountains. "

The Nomad won unanimously, and by a fair margin."

"The Vulcans suspension felt a wee bit sportier, this making it the easiest to navigate at slow speeds and in city traffic, but somewhat jarring on the big bumps. The Kawasaki's brakes were superb compared with the other two, and the saddlebags held an impressive amount of gear."

It was being tested against a Road King, Rocket III, Victory Vision, and a Star Royal Star.

Magazine testers always get worse mileage than most posters on boards, because they ride them like they don't have to pay for them.

They got the same mileage out of the Nomad that I have always gotten. They got, 26.7-41.1 for an average of 35.7. That is just about how mine played out on the 1,800 mile ride to the western rally; the high low and average.

Good to see that they still like the Nomad.
