Nice Victory

Being a Vegasite, I have made that trip before. You should have ran down to the London Bridge while you were that close. Were the burrows wandering around Oatman?

Trip To The Arizona Territorial Museum; Yuma

I made that trip a couple of years ago. Seeing the pictures reminded me of the fun I had. There are a lot of things to see around this great nation and I have only started.

Salt River Loop

I think I have seen most of the copper mines in AZ. Some of the best riding I have done has been in AZ. Even ride out to Chandler HD for items now and then.

Salt River Loop

I would have enjoyed it a bit better if it was not trying to rain and snow on us. That is one big copper mine at the base of the mountain. Got there as it was getting dark and did not get to stop...

Salt River Loop

I have been on that ride. Really nice country. Two weeks ago I went from Show Low over to 191 and down to Saffard and back to Phoenix. Even saw some wild hogs. That road could run competition for...

Voyager vs. Harley Ultra Classic Review

I have been away from here for about a year. Sold my 05 Nomad and later bought an 08 Ultra. Being a tall person, my legs did feel cramped until I got broke in to the bike. I now have 30K miles on...

Gunbus Motorcycle

The blonde has got to be standard equipment. Anything that big should have all the options included.

2009 lineup?

I also thought the 12 month warranty was an indicator of possible problems. I got my 05 because it came with 24 months. Last time I looked at a GW, the dealer said something about 36 months. Even...

The new Nomad is announced

I was on the Kawasaki motorcycle page and read all about the new Nomad. Talk about some good improvements. I do believe the picture that was floating around earlier was actually the Nomad. Just...

CHiPs

My first big street bike was a KZ650. That had a lot of get up and go.

Bike stalling on occasional downshifts. Ideas??

I think it is an inherent problem of the Nomad. Had it happen to me on my 05 more times than I care to remember. All the things stated can help but they are just small fixes. I tried everything in...

For the Victory Vision Fans

Finally, some imagination to the futuristic lines of the Vision. A bike like that would fit right in with all the strange bikes I have seen at Sturgis.

Sarah Palin's Security Clearance

After reading this thread I do not see any reason for holding the election in November. Everyone here has voted for McCain/Palin. This straw poll shows 100% for McCain/Palin and 0% for Obama/Biden....

new bike

Check with the dealer and see what he will give for a trade in. Metric bikes in Vegas are not fetching a high dollar. I finally got rid of mine for $5,500.00. Mine was an 05 blue/silver with...

Buffalo Chip

Having been to Sturgis several times I have not gone out to the Buffalo Chip. A cousin of mine went and was told if I like to see naked people (men, women) and party all night, that is the place to...

Trunk for Nomad?

I did not like seeing the grab rails going on my 05 so I made my own rack. I lost the back rest for a tour pak back rest. All those who rode with me enjoyed it a lot. Now that I no longer have my...

How long do brakes usually last?

I had close to 30K miles on my bike when I sold it and had replaced the pads for the second time. I agree, aftermarket is not as good as OEM. If you are not mechanically incline, have the dealer do...

Road Snakes

I just read a safety topic on tar snakes in a motorcycle mag. I got today. It is a big problem. I agree with Doc. When they wiggle, turn around and hit them twice.

Homemade trailer progress (08/09/08)

CJ, if you do a cross over of the zip ties, the connection will stay in place better. Go to Home Depot and get some long zip ties. Everything else looks good.
