Get a set of Cobras. They are easy to install, sound great, and they eliminate that hunk of heavy metal in the middle. You won't be disappointed. I bought mine used on ebay for about $300.

I don't think they get into the cruisers too much, unless you do something like Jay did with his Vaquero, and modify a sport bike exhaust can to fit your bike. You could always get creative. :)
