I also have the longhorns, they were fitted to the bike when I bought it. At 6' 4" I needed some extra leg stretch so moved them to be pointing a little forward of the crash bars, the result was a significant increase in wind buffeting on the head at highway speads. I also made some larger lowers which helped with the head buffeting

I went the cheap and easy way. I was looking around at the local stealership... they had a bargain bin, clearance box of stuff. Just so happened they had a set of "universal" rear pegs for a Vulcan (Just the basic round peg) marked down to $5 or $10. I can't remember the price, it's been a few years ago now. I got those and then bought some basic clamps online for about $10 or so and fit them together. Works perfect for me!
