Allstate Sugar Bowl

My alma mater, the University of Utah, destroyed the Alabama Crimson Tide tonight in the Sugar Bowl! The undefeated team from Utah that nobody thought had a chance pulled off the biggest football victory in school history in convincing fashion. Go UTES!!!!!!

It was especially satisfying watching that arrogant Barry Switzer eating his words at half time and after the game. I hope he chokes on them! Utes 13-0, baby!

We at LSU were happy to see Utah whip the Crimson Tide and Mr. Saban.

Cactus, my alma mater too. I was enjoying the game, especially the first quarter where they got 21 points and only got to second down once. All the rest where first down to first down each play.

Go Utes.

As a bred and born "SEC" fan. I've never been an Alabama fan though. Of course my blood runs "BIG ORANGE" and we will be back on top soon. But the Utes put a good old fashion butt kickin on the Tide. Congrats to the Utes!

My sons and I are diehard Ute football fans. We had season tickets for several years back in Utah, and I personally have been a fan since the sixties. That said, none of us had any idea it would go the way it did last night. We figured the Utes would give them a good game, and might even pull off a close victory, but never in a million years did we think they'd dominate one of the premier Division 1 teams in the country. It was an awesome night. I hope the win helps to spotlight the inequities in the current BCS system.

Cactusjack, I rather enjoyed watching Utah take the Tide apart.

Terrebonne_nomad, I'm afraid I can't say the same about LSU handing it to Georgia Tech! That was so painful I turned it off in the 3rd quarter! :( :( :( :( :(

Unfortunately it's all about the money. The smaller leagues just don't have the "pull" or "draw" that the larger leagues hold. That said, Utah showed what they were made of.

Bob,

Looks like Les Miles finally figured out who the starting QB should be. It was only about 6 games too late for the revelation. Georgia Tech was supposed to kick butt.
