Let the politics begin!

I don't know how many of you saw Obama's speech last night, but I have to admit it was very well done. He hit on many powerful points, even addressing areas that the democrats are famous for avoiding. He attacked McCain as a good politician should. It reminded me of the way I read politics were in the days of Teddy Roosevelt and Taft. Standing on the back of the train talking about what he would do for the country.

Now McCain has thrown a major, this was worse than a curve ball, this was more like a screw ball combined with a fork ball mulled over a spit ball. He picked the governor from Alaska, and a woman at that!!! She's not bad looking either. I figure if he gets elected, she'll be way better than Monica Lewinsky was! j/k

So what do you think? I see this as a major play on McCain's part to get females who voted for Clinton but may not be sold on Obama. A way to get younger voters and to create ripples all over the place since now the Dem's have to contend with someone they don't know. This should be one interesting election. Best we've had in decades!

I don't care for either McCain or Obama. Both have major flaws, in my opinion. I may vote just for the free cookies and juice they give you. Oh, wait - that's when you donate blood. Never mind.

Smart move by the McCain camp in my thinking. She is very highly regarded by her constituents in Alaska. I like her. She's pretty, pro gun, pro life, and she loves to hunt big game. What more could you ask for??? I thought for sure that his running mate was going to be Kaye Bailey Hutchinson. I was definitely surprised.

Well, we better start to take notice.. God help us if, by chance is Osammy O'Bammy gets in there. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have done said that if he is defeated, race riots begin. Threat?or promise? Either way, we're screwed. McCain was not my first choice either, but I sure as hell don't want O'Bamma in there. The McCain VP choice was a stroke of genius on his part. The Dems are already crying "foul" in a round about way. I'd like to know just one thing that O'Bamma has actually done, one piece of legislation he has sponsored, and how he did vote on other bills. Most of his votes were either 'present', or he abstained. He's a flake, PERIOD!

I know am not sure about Obama either.

But I do know McCain voted with Bush more than 90% of the time. (McCain says 95%). Bush and his policies have sent our youth to Iraq up to 4 tours of duty, so far. Meanwhile Bin Laden is still on the loose. Our military is exhausted and we are in debt to China. We are transferring our wealth to the middle east to pay for our oil. We are transferring our jobs everywhere. And 48 million Americans dont have health care. McCain is 72 years old, and his running mate has less experience than Obama.

Let me see, I don't know about Obama, but do I want more of same with McCain?

I don't care for either McCain or Obama, but I think McCain's VP choice was brilliant. He wants the Hillary supporters to come to his side, and think this move will get a lot of them. I caught some of Palin's speech on the news tonight, and she sounded very eloquent and professional. I think this will be an interesting fall, and I can't wait for it to be over so they pull the damn ads off tv!!!

Regardless of who wins, something historic will be accomplished in November. It is amazing to see what great liberties we have in this country, and I hope that we all take advantage of them and not take them for granted.

Well they still havent spoken on the important issues, like helmet laws, Oil to use, best tires to use, I mean how can they have a good argument if they ignore the REAL issues

Will be interesting to see if Palin can go toe-to-toe with Biden in the VP debates. She is going to have to be brought up to speed on a ton of issues. I bet Biden is sharpening his eye teeth as we speak! ;)

Hmmmm...I think I'll just have to see what each candidate's stance is on the use of synthetic oil vs. dino oil before I make my decision. That and what air pressure to shock setting should be used when riding two up and exceeding the GVW of the bike.

Seriously, I would rather have had Bill Bradley as a candidate myself.
