'05 Speedo Sticking?
I seem to have developed a sticking speedometer needle. I can be traveling at 60 MPH, and accelerate. I look down at the speedo, and it still indicates 60 MPH, then all of a sudden, It'll jump up to say 70 MPH, or however fast I'm going. I have noticed that when you first turn on the ignition, while the fuel pump primes, the needle will go all the way over to 140, then return to 0 (like it's supposed to do), but occasionally instead of doing that, It will just bump several times as the fuel pump primes. Does any one know the cause/fix for this? It is starting to get more frequent as time goes by.
Thanks in advance Cliff

The first thing I would try is remove the chrome bezel and reseat the cable connector on the speedometer assembly. May not do any good, but it's easy and cheap and if it was just a poor connection you're home free. Another connection to try to reseat would be the speed sensor connection. This is located behind the alternator outer cover. If that doesn't help you may need to replace the speedometer itself.

Thanks guys, I've already checked the hook-ups behind the chrome bezel on the tank, a couple of times. Recon I'll have to check the connectors on the other end.
Thanks Guys
