Finally Happened!

I guess sooner or later something would wear out on the Nomad. I just noticed a small leak on the garage floor (right side of the bike) and thought it was coming from the brake hose. After investigating, I found it was coming from the hole in the bottom of the shock. I can't tell any difference in the ride. Is there a kit for the shocks or is it replacement only? It's a 2000 1500 Nomad with a little over 49,000 miles. :-/
Thanks,
Zoom45

I've got the same thing after 32,000 miles on my 1500. The Showa air shocks are not rebuildable AFAICT.

Where I could tell the difference was in a high speed sweeper. The bike wanted to bobble around over minor road imperfections.

I've noticed that too. Haven't seen any leaks. Now I know the culprit, but I already suspected that. :)

No kidding. I just don't want to spend $900 on another set of unrebuildable Showas.

That's why Ma Kaw sells the bike at a good price. Make it up in the replacement parts. :)
