take your right breather cover off. it has no air cleaner as the air cleaner is on the left side on a stock bike. get a toothbrush, fuel injector cleaner, or seafoam in a spray bottle, hold the throttle part way open so the throttle plates are parralel to the bore and spray cleaner into the throat. then take your toothbrush and gently scrub the bore and the plates if you havent done it before there is probably a build up of carbon that needs to be removed. hope i helped you somewhat.

After your done with that procedure, use a can of Gummout carburator cleaner spray and spray at full speed (without any red reducer straw on the nozzle) into one of the two throttle bodies with the throttle WFO. Your bike will only rev to about 3K because of this extra "fuel" and it will sound like its choking. No problem. Do each side for 10 seconds straight. "one mississippi, two mississippi...etc". Don't be surprised if your idle is now a little higher because the idle circuit is now very clean. do this twice to thrice per year.

I know this sounds silly but I sure don't want to damage anything in the throttle bodies.....do I use a stiff or soft brush or does it really make any difference?
