How to remove stock grips?

The outside end of the left grip is a left hand thread, then the grip is glued to the bar. I had to cut mine off, and on the right, you have to disassemble the switch housing and give your self some slack ih the throttle cables so thet can be easily disconnected. Then assemble in reverse.

How to remove stock grips?

and cut a coat hanger wire,, use the straight piece as a tool. Slip it inside the grips and move it around,, l/r etc.. helps break up the glue,,ALSO I heard of people shooting WD 40 in side the grip to loosen the glue,,NEVER used it to remove grips ,, BUT several have..Rich

How to remove stock grips?

I just use a blade and slice them down the middle.

How to remove stock grips?

If your talking about a stock grip just take the crome cap off the end (it's glued on) and with an air compressor use air gun under the edge of the grip. Blast away with air. Works great and you don't destroy the grip either. ;) Gadget has a link for changing grips this way with pictures.
