Anyone have any experience with this manual throttle adjust. Seems pricey but their web site has some very convincing promo clips.

They are nice, for sure. I don't have one, but I've looked at a few of them.

I've been having mine for close to 2 years. Looks good and works smoothly.

They cost more than Id spend on a throttle lock. You could probably install a cruise control for that price if you shopped around a bit. They are the cadillac of throttle locks though.

I opted for the Kuryakyn throttle assist to go with my ISO grips. It works pretty well but takes a little finesse to lock it down while holding the throttle steady. The amount of 'assist' is adjustable too. Price was okay at $90.

I have them on my bike. Works very good and looks good to. Fits over the kuryakyn grips with a bit of dish soap to slide it on. I would prefer an electronic cruise but figure that my installation skills are only up to the more simple mechanical breakaway.

We both have a Brakeaway and they work great. A bit more than a standard 'throttle lock' because it will click off when you touch the brake and quite a bit easier to set than a Vistacruise.

I installed it this Spring. Looks good and works fine. I think the quality of workmanship is top notch. If I bought a new bike, I do it again.

I too have one of the BrakeAway throttle locks. They work and look great...perfect for giving your hand a break on long trips! Two thumbs up for sure... !

I bought my brakeaway last spring and absolutely love it. I had a vista on my old 02 Nomad and the brakeaway is worth the extra $$$. It is easier to engage, the brake deactivation is wonderful and much safer, and you can easily adjust your throttle with it locked. You are not constantly releasing and resetting on those longer flat stretches where slight adjustments are needed. I put on ISO grips after installing the brakeaway with no problems. With the new larger throttle boss on the ISO grips and the brakeaway, I'm not wishing for cruise control near as much as before.

I have the Vista and I can't get it to keep a steady pace. It will slip and the bike slows down.
Is the Breakaway better in this respect?

Modify;
Never mind. I just went to their site. $199 for a throtle lock , I'll pass.
The vista does what I want just fine.

TC, tighten the acorn nut that puts tension on the band about 1/2 turn....its adjustable. Then it will hold.

For those that have a Vista replace the acorn nut with a small knurled knob with a threaded metal insert.This makes fine tuning the Vista easy while you are cruising down the road.

Well after it setting in the garage all winter I finally the the thing mounted yesterday. Very good instructions and final operation is great. Used the thin grip inserts on Avon grips and no problem. It was a bit pricey but I'm well pleased. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice looking and functioning manuel cruise lock.
