Stock Tires ??

I have 8500 miles on my stock Bridgestones.

I was looking at my tires this PM. Front tire looks good but not sure about the rear.

My question is, should the rear tire have a center grove in it like the front tire? Mine does not.

And, do these tires have wear or safety bars (helping you know when to change tires) like car tires?

Last ??s - If I need a new tire, can I run a Avon Cobra on the rear and keep the Stone up front? What size Avon?
