Want windshield bag/tach in the way

Anybody have a barons tach in between the handlebar risers and also have some kind of windshield or handlebar bag.

I'm thinking of searching womens purses for applications for a windshield bag. (Of course if I use one it'll be a man bag).

My brother in law just found a handlebar bag that's ok but i was wondering if anyone has gotton something better.

Pictures are always good.

Want windshield bag/tach in the way

I'm traveling so I can't get a pic until the weekend. I mounted two small (not) purses--one on each side of the tach. They have Loop for a pants belt. I made two strips of metal and used the windshield nuts as attachment points.

I keep my garage door opener, pens, phone, ear plugs, and all kinds of handy stuff.

Here's my solution. I made these for topdogjim but he never mounted them since he put the Nomad up for sale shortly after buying them. He sold them to someone on the forum but I can't remember who; maybe that person has them mounted and would show pics.

These are the bags I had on Ruby when my leather was black with fringes. I never had a problem opening them since there is actually more room between the handlebar and the bag, than what it looks like. I recently made a windshield bag for my friend Charlie, for the 1600, and it fits behind the Phat11 risers and opens right.

I'll trade ya the 6 buck walley world purse for the tach, and fix your problem It has a make up mirror, which is good for signaling to air planes and a calculator so you can count beans in the store. Isn't that nice?

Sorry for the delay. Here is my solution around the tach. I found pouches that you would wear on your waist by threading your belt through the pouch's loop. The pouches have a number of zippered compartments. So far, they have remained dry even in strong rain. I store the little handy stuff--radio, garage door opener, pens, change, ear plugs, pressure guage, phone, and all the other little stuff that needs to be kept handy. To the left of the left pouch, I have a bottle holder, which hasn't been used since last summer. That's why the left pouch is a little askew.

Below, the metal brace that goes through the pouch's belt loop. It was a scrap piece of thin stainless or aluminum. It attaches to the windshield bolts.

Below, you can see the velcro that keeps the top of the pouch held against the windshield brace. I think the pouches were $10 each. They are very flexible and can be "squeezed" into the available space.

Good luck.
