What is this part?

After washing my Nomad this afternoon I found this part laying on the driveway. I am pretty sure it was not laying there before I started so I can only assume it came off of the bike, but I can't for the life of me find where it goes. It looks like it is part of a vent tube. It measures about 1 inch accross and is made of plastic. Anyone have any idea where this goes?

Out of context i don't recognise that. What is in the other end if you unlock the tab and pull off the what ever that is ?
Is there any oil residue?

What is the opening measurement I can see? 5/16" aka 8mm?

What is this part?

It looks like the air intake of a Stebel horn. The square end slides in the body of the horn and the round end is so you can attach a hose to keep the horn from sucking in water, dirt, bugs and other miscellaneous debris.

Bingo - we have a winner. It is the Stebel intake. Now I can sleep tonight.

Thanks CJ!

What is this part?

So that thing is a snorkel, maybe a moose call, mounted to the horn?

Sorry Mac - I never even thought about it being off of the Stebel. I thought sure it was some kind of vent from somewhere on the engine.

Glad you guys were able to figure that one out. Now when I mount a Stebel, I will know what that little thing is.
