I've heard of guys riding over 200K and still going strong. These bikes are bulletproof. Take care of them, and they'll take care of you.

Nomad mileage?

I know of a few with over 200K. One at the VROC Reunion in Eureka Springs last September had 290K

I've got 117K on 2000 FI. It turned 100K going through Colorado Springs on the way to Alaska this summer.

I wouldn't hesitate starting out tomorrow on a 1000+ mile run.

My $.02

Nomad mileage?

I talked to a guy in Chattanooga with a 2001 that had 177K on it and the only thing he wore out was tires.

Hey txcwdancer, I see in your sig you are a Patriot Guard Rider.
I just read an articule on you guys. You are to be commended for the work you do. Is there a chapter or what ever you call it here in NY?
Yes I know this is thread hijacking. We will get back on track, trust me

Nomad mileage?

So, in the interest of a more useful responses to foxx1252's question - What can he (or we) expect? Knowing that a handful of our beloved have made it to or past 200K, while heart-warming, doesn't really tell the whole story. It might be more useful to know at what mileage have we heard of Nomads encountering fatal mechanical demise? In or out of warranty and of course not in crashes. Then again, this is not going to give the typical lifetime expectation and probably no poll we can put together will give the answer either. Try for a simpler question next time foxx. But, in summary, take good care of it and it will most likely take good care of you.

If my Meanstreak (03, 47000 miles), and Nomad (05, 37000miles) live up to expectations I should never need another bike. Now if I could just get 20K out of a set of tires.LOL.
