Dumb question

What do they call the chrome rails that go around the bottom of the hardbags like bumpers? I'd like to look for some, but not sure what to search for.

Anyone?...anyone?...Bueller?...Bueller?

Try this web site:
www.denniskirk.com

In the paper catalog version on page 384 they have some rails that look great on the bags but it is hard to tell if they are the ones along the bottom or along the top.Either way check them out .
They are Cobra saddlebag side rails, fits nomad from 99-04, 05-08 for $203.99

Saddle Bag Side Rails

Kawasaki part # K53020-365

http://tinyurl.com/3atr64
From the Kawasaki website:
Saddlebag side rails provide a classic style of the past. • Mounts with an angled mounting adapter that lays back against the fender.
MSRP: $299.95

Check e-bay. They are often for sale there for around $200.

I've planned on these rails for some time myself. I don't think they'll provide additional protection for our typical "fall over while stopped" fashion, but they look maaaarrrvellllous!

Here's Cobra's version - notice how well the rear of the bag rails tie into the rear fender trim as pictured.

Let us know how she goes - have fun!

I do not like the way the Cobras mount to the crash bars with a clamp. The Kawi models actually bolt to the existing bag rail bolt holes: both more attractive & stronger IMO.

I really like the way they look on the bike, it gives it a nice touch. But they do interfere on opening the doors wide open a little bit, (at least on my bike they do).
