Tire Plugger and Slime Compressor

I use the same pump but I wired a pigtail to the battery so I don't have to remove the
Seat to plug the pump in I also use the plug to charge the battery very handy.

Tire Plugger and Slime Compressor

Hi All
I got interested in this post cause....you guessed it...rode back from the cottage Sunday, (Father's Day) & got my first flat tire in the 25 plus years of riding motorcycles...I guess I was due...Lesson learned, no patch kit...no air pump...Long story short, called home, got a ride to get my truck & trailer to hall the bike back. Today I called 2 shops, they say they don't patch motorcycle tires, I need a new one...wow this back tire is brand new, maybe 1,600 clicks on it. So, do I patch it or get a new one?

Thanks
Guy

I'd plug it, carry a spare plug, tools and compressor.

How many tires has someone had problems with after being plugged?

(As long as it's not in the side of the tire).

I have had the mushroom plugs for MANY years and have used them many times, fortunately not on my bikes. I bought my kit from JC Whitney, the only place I knew of that had them those many years ago. Still have a few plugs and the installation tool on my workbench. Bad place for it, guess I need to put the kit in my saddlebags.
