Slime tire repair kit.

I used it in my Argo once, and it worked, but is it ever messy when its time to change tires. I keep a can to use as an emergency but I hope I never need it.

Slime tire repair kit.

I have the pump with a stop n go tire plugger. Haven't needed it yet but I do have the setup. I won't use the slime in the tire however.

Slime tire repair kit.

I had a couple of bottles of slim for emergency from when I had a bike with tubes. I used one in my daughters car to cure a very slow leak. It stopped the leak, but screwed up the balance. Now with tubeless bike tires I carry a plug kit and 12 v compressor.

Slime tire repair kit.

Stop n Go for me. They have 1 with the gun plugger and a smaller kit without. I do not go on a trip without it and my 12v pump. I tried the slime once but never again.

Slime tire repair kit.

It is messy when changing tires, even adding air. It only works for small leaks and sometimes you don't know you have one "because" of the slime so you continue to ride, unawares and Slime is not intended for a long-term fix.

The Stop n Go is easy to use and has the mushroom head plugs. These are effective to the degree that, if used properly, you most often don't have to replace the tire.

Slime tire repair kit.

While Slime may plug the leak you end up with a bunch of glop in the tire which will ususally throw off the balance. Also, if you are using DynaBeads for balancing you can't put Slime in the tire.

Slime tire repair kit.

Don't put slime in a tubeless tire. I know someone who did and it thru the balance off so bad he could not ride the bike until he got a new tire.

Slime tire repair kit.

I don't think I would use it in my motorcycle tires but I have used it in my trailer tires (tube) and it worked great.
Any particular place to get the "Stop and Go" kit ?

Slime tire repair kit.

The main reason I was considering the Slime kit is that I need a new compressor and having the Slime for a roadside repair was an added bonus. Thanks to all that responded, I think I am going to get one.

Slime tire repair kit.

You will be sorry..... That stuff will goober up everything in the wheel and it is living hell to get out for a new tire... It is like trying to tear apart 2 carpets glued with shoe goo. Any tire changer will hate you unless you bring 4 cases of beer and pay thru the nose to just get the tire off, then he can't install a new tire till the wheel is de-goobered, which is likey he will give you the wheel to take home to de-goober while you watch tv for the next 3 months.

This stuff is made for the 4x4 crew who will never put on a new tire and don't really care if there is any air in the tire in the first place. They don't go over 35 mph either.

Slime tire repair kit.

I won't put that green crap in my tires. I carry a Slime air compressor and a plug kit. If you have dynabeads, you wouldn't want to use it anyway.
