Metzeler tires...Where to buy..In Stock

Does anybody know who might have the rear Metzeler Tire in stock. ME 880 Marathon 180/70HR-16...
Everyone has the front tire but so far 3 places I check do not have the rear tire in stock.

I bought my ME-880's from my Kaw dealer and if I recall they had to order the 180/70x16 in for me.

I got mine HERE

I run 40 psi front and 42 psi rear

Thanks jeffm.......Seems that motorcycle-superstore is the only ones that currently had them in stock....I also called to confirm they were in stock. NOBODY else had them....All on back order from Metezler till Oct 10.

I am also in need of a rear tire.....now.
My rear {tire that is} isn't showing the cords but it is down to the wear bars. I'm wondering about ordering online and how a person can be sure they aren't getting an "old" tire. With all the chatter about the dangers of purchasing old stock and what that could mean to our safety, how do you ensure a recently made tire and not something that was manufactured for example,

When ordering online about all you can do is check the date code when it arrives. If you can get a live person to talk to at one of these places before ordering it you could always ask for the date code before you order it. I don't know if they could give it to you.

Not a problem , they are also the cheapest i saw. I ordered them thursday morning & got a shipped date for the same day , with a tracking #. So if they did ship i'm hopeing to get maybe tomorrow didn't see a delivery date . That would be great service if it was shipped a couple hours after i ordered it .

I've heard Metzeler's were the best cycle tires. I'm planning on going to these when time comes to replace, but I ony have 6.8k miles on the current ones.

What is the average life for a cycle tire in miles anyways?

It all depends. They definitly wear out quicker than car tires. If you can get 10,000 out of a rear tire and 20,000 out of a front tire I'd say you're doing good! If you're running your stock bridgestones its probably about time to change at least the rear. A lot of people change both front and rear to metz even if the stock front is not wore out yet
