Mac the tour guide

Cindy and I took a road trip to Maine this past week.
We stopped in New Hampshire to visit with Mac and his wife Gwyn. You couldn't find nicer people. They fed us pancakes and maple syrup that they make themselves.
Mac took us on a mountain tour. It was one of the high lites of our trip.
Cindy and I really appreciated it Mac, Thank You for taking the time to make us feel at home. We enjoyed the time at your place and the tour

Its always nice when you can get a personal tour guide to show you around all the interesting sights in the area. Guys like Mac are far and few between to be able to take the time out to show you around. I'm sure it would have been a memorable trip.

If RL is regional leader the answer is no.. But I would help on a ride if requests were with in reason. I know the better roads in NH, but only in NH. So I can do loops of places on and off the beaten path.

I just can't stand when someone comes here, and is going to take some road not in the mountains.

TC was going to pull that stunt, once i looked over his maps.

I tried hard to find him a bear or a moose, but all I found was turkey.

The way I live time is flexible. The problem with that is I never know what day of the week it is and sometimes don't know the year. I usually know which month it is by the weather. But this time I am still looking for Summer :(" title="" border="0"/>

TC and Mrs TC you are always welcome to return.

In the first couple weeks of Oct i will be at that fuel pump. See whats what with them and get some pics as I cut the glue joints open.

Right now we are getting ready for Muster in the Mountains, and will be there Thursday-Sunday, maybe Monday.

The roads we took were Rt 25 east, Rt 16 north, Rt 112 (Kanc) West, Bear Notch North, Rt 302 Nor West, Rt 3 N, Rt 115 Nor East, Rt 2 East (Near that big hill is where Muster is) Rt 16 South (we stopped there to see if anyone needed fuel) on to the Conways, Rt 302 East passing Fryberg Me., and to Bridgeton, where I broke off.

I went 186 miles till my yellow light flickered on, at 1 mile from where I bought gas near home, the same place you were with me.

I got lots more roads fer ya!

Sounds like a nice trip you guys had. I know the color must be getting nice up in New England this part of the year. If I had the time and money I would take a ride up and visit you Mac. Actually I have the time, the money is the real problem.

Money has always been a problem to me... Now it is lesser of a problem as i don't have any.

It is getting to be Fall around here. The lower swamps are brightening reds and golds now. There have been 2 hard frosts. I love this weather for the frosty nights and the warmer days.

going campin 5 days this Thursday, Madame comes along too, and she is some wicked fancy in wool Mista'

In summer anyone is welcomed to come camp in the field and base camp from this place. Oh did I mention for Free?

I'll not be 'avin any monies for a spot on the ground to set up camp.

Spinning wrenches is what I do to earn and so I might have a very with in reason fee for labor, and do better work than you can buy anywhere...

On the otherhand if you end up dead broke I might work for free too... pass that on and I'm ok....

I usually have grub to spare so food for a guy or two can be had...

I would guess the field can tent up about 40.... If it is ever gonna be 40 guys and SO's I need to know in advace! The septic system here can't handle that by a long shot, but I know how to dig a hole and build with wood. I know what quick lime is too.

The field does have water. There is places fires can be anytime as well.

TC and mrs TC got a crash course of me and my life style... happens fast, or as fast as i can cram life into a couple hours..

They more or less saw the lenii, the field, garden house, barn and shed... TC it is ok to say...

I have little to no fear of the internet, and anyone with the wrong idea will just add ti my scalp locks collection.....

You can say anything you want Mac.
I mean what the hell, you already told everybody I didn't have sense enough to plan Cindy's and my trip to take in the mountains. ;) Just kiddin buddy.
Yeah I get the feelin Mac is a pretty laid back guy who would welcome any one of us to stay at his place. Cindy and I would have except we wanted to get into Maine as far as possible before dark. I don't like ridin' after dark.
As I told you Mac, if you are ever in this neck of the woods you are welcome to bunk here.

Weren't the pancakes and syrup to die for.......

I'm jealous because I've also been lucky enough to devour some myself.

Thanks Mac and Gwyn
