Right side spark plug no fire how do you test???

I did the clutch spring replacement and got it all back together started it and I know have a knock thought it was sompthing I did so I took it all back apart and everything was correct I have come to the conclusion that the right side front spark plug does not work I pulled the plug and it was wet with fuel I dont know how to test to see if its the wire the coil or the plug? Any thoughts? Or is there anything I could have done while doing the clutch spring I didnt touch anything around the area of the sparkplug or coil area.

Try another plug, any plug will do to see if you have a spark.
You don't have to screw it into the motor just hold it againdt the cylinder to ground it and hit the starter button for a second.
If it sparks, replace with the correct plug. If not check the other plugs and start looking for a disconnected plug or bad wire.

Right side spark plug no fire how do you test???

My bike is in a trailer where I can't get at it well.

There are 2 coils, and each coil fires 2 plugs at the same time. I think with out looking then this must be coil 1 on the left side as seated, which fires cly 1 on both plugs at the same time. So if you are sure the left side fires, then the right plug, resistor end, and or wire could be bad, pulled loose, or have some other flaw.

I would swap plugs from left to right, and try that. With plug pliers you can ground the plugs to test, and crank the engine looking for spark too. If you do that, pull one plug from the rear cly, so the engine can't start for one, and the engine can turn easier for 2..

0 comprssion.

Good advice Mac. Don't want the thing to actually fire off.
