No Brake Light
I noticed on the way to work today that my break light was not coming on when i pulled the lever. I stopped at the local grab and go and noticed that i do have break light when i push the foot peddle.
So i figure there is a switch out but not sure. Any ideas on how hard of a fix this is going to be? Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Not sure what year your bike is. This is from a 1600 service manual;
Front Brake Light Switch Inspection •Turn on the ignition switch. •The brake light should go on when the front brake lever is applied. If it does not, replace the switch. I think I'd ensure all contacts, grounds, etc were tight first before I'd buy a new switch. You might be able to find something on Gadget's site http://www.gadgetjq.com/gadgetsfixitpage.htm Gary |

Sometimes the switch gets dirty and a good cleaning with some contact cleaner will fix it. Also check where it plugs into the wiring as well.
