Windshield bag recommendations
Looking for a small windshield bag for a 2007 Nomad that would hold sunglasses, digital camera, etc...
I bought a Willie & Max bag which would not fit, too deep. If anyone can recommend a bag or has a used one for sale, let me know. Gary Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Gary, Do you have any Bentleys stores in Fredericton? They sell luggage, purses, wallets etc. I bought a soft leather fanny pack, cut the straps off and mounted it to the windshield with a couple of the windshield bolts. works for me.

Norm, and Gary, I went to the same store and did the same thing. I think I stole that from Gadget's site.
I guess it'll have to go once the fairing is on.

I just put a leather triple pouch bag like you see on batwing fairings. I got it at the Toronto motorcycle show from Talisman leather for $50. I had to do some mods to the plastic backer to make it fit, but for $50 bucks I couldn't say no. Talisman sells them on their website for $90 http://saddlebagsbytalisman.com/inde...e9bdb2b215a35f

Hey Gary, Thanks, I like the look. I also have one pinned on my mesh riding jacket. I took red and black fine tipped permanent markers and coloured the part that you can see is red, and darkened the blk area. If you do colour yours be careful though you only get the one chance as it will be permanent. Make sure the markers are fine tipped.
I had a look on eBay and found you a place where you can get one for yourself. http://cgi.ebay.com/Classic-Collecti...item2558c26142

This is the one I have. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...r3_43948705_go
It came on the bike when I got it and it fits very nicely.

I typed in Vulcan Emblem Patch at ebay. Seems like a patch might be easier than painting a pin.

I have the Kaw large plain windshield bag K53000-150C. The attachment holes are near the bottom of the bag, so depth is not an issue. When it arrived, I thought it would be too big or sit too high, but it doesn't. I keep sunglasses, gloves, garage door opener, maps, etc in there - very roomy.
Fits the Nomad windshield bolt pattern. However, I purchased longer stainless bolts, and extra nuts and washers to install. The bag is pretty wide and the curve of the windshield keeps the bag away from where it attaches. I installed the long bolts and one set of nuts/washers to the windshield. Then I put a set of nuts/washers as a backing for the bag, then another set from inside the bag to hold it in place. |
