I envy you guys in the south with all yr. round riding! Today was my last ride till sometime next April. The forecast is for snow for the next two weeks starting on tues. grrrr. So I washed her up and took a couple of pics. Notice the mud on the tires! Unavoidable

Actually now is starting the best time to ride in Florida. In the summer... its sometimes just too dang hot!!! I ride anyway but I arrive to work drenched in sweat... even at 6:30 in the morning.

Then on the way home I usually get stuck in a rain shower (I have a lot of experience riding in the rain).

This time of year, its mild to cool and dry. Its absolutely beautiful!!!

That's a beautiful bike, Bdog. Seeing it through your eyes makes me appreciate what we got. I just got my Honda out after about 4 months of sitting. Cleaned her up for a Halloween ride. We were out from 5-12 last night doing various activities. Even the ride home that late was cool but nothing to complain about.

We'll be here waitin on you should you decide to ride our way.

Hey Dog, where did all the leaves go?

We've still got some leaves clinging to the trees here.

I'm beginning to think we're in the best place here in TN.

I'm still riding. I believe I'll be riding into December, maybe take a break, change tires and brakes, in Jan/Feb, and be back at it until next December. It's a little cool in the morning, but my Tourmaster jacket and insulated textile chaps do the trick.

Plus, we have a lot of twisty curveys here, and good roads.

Yep, think I'll stick around for a while. I was considering FL until michaelk's post, and Texas is my destination if they succeed from the Union after Obama.

...same boat here Bdog. Had my last ride today. Temp was around 5c. I had a nice ride and definetly took the longest route I could find to get home. Oh well, thats the way it goes in the frozen north. :)

It's still in the 90's here in the afternoons. That's unseasonably warm even for Phoenix. They are predicting a cooling trend with temps in the low 80's. From now until next April, this is the best riding weather we have.

Edit: I just heard on the news it was 98 degrees today where I live. 98 on the first of November!

74 degrees here today. Same forecast for tomorrow, so I'll be riding to work tomorrow.
Gotta love it, but since I'll be in Houston all week, this will likely be my last ride for awhile.

Dang wish my bike was all clean and purty. She's been rode hard and put up wet. Left this morning about 8am and got home at 8:33pm. Dirt and dust from the last couple rides along with bug guts galore and a bird strike to the windshield make a mess. Guess the wash is on tomorrows agenda. I'll post a trip report later. what a day!

I hear ya, Bdog.

Out here, the forecast for next weekend is sunny and 15C then downhill from there; so I figure that will be it for us out East. Today's it's 2C and the wife and I are bundled for a short ride down to Fundy Park and back. Picked up some heat packs for her gloves, so anxious to see how warm they get.

Thanks for keeping the snow out on the prairies last month!

YIKES!
Sorry to hear that!!!! Our weather has gotten cooler, but not enough to stop us yet ;)

However, my 900 is in the shop right now and hubby's bike is solo, so "technically" I am not riding now either :(
