They had already closed the road before this happened, so there was no traffic on the road. Atleast they knew to get people off the road.

I would suggest staying in Townsend, TN. Cheap and a nice little town. Not to mention it's not far from the dragon. It's just across the Foothills parkway which is an awesome ride.
