Oil Change Milage??

Ma Kaw says change oil @ 600 mile, 7,500, 15000 etc.
Whats everyones opinion?
Here in FLA, with the heat 7 1/2 grand seems a little long to be changing oil.
Am I just paranoid (what was that)?

I go about 4K mi on full syn. Changing more often is cheap insurance and feels good, at least to me.

I concur. I try to change around 3-4,000 miles. I too am on full syn.

I do overkill on things like changing fluids... it just feels good to do it. It is not that expensive to do anyway.

3,500 miles is plenty on synthetic oil in the south central Texas heat. Drop the rear gear box at the same time. Clean lubrication is good insurance.

I go 5000 on synthetic, but it's not as hot here until mid July and August.

I change oil & filter every 3000 miles with Rotella T dino oil

what weight are you using? I know the book generally calls for 10/40. Now that we're in summer mode, I run 20/50 syn and change in the 4-5 range.

I'm running 10/40 full syn and always change it at 5K intervals. The math is easier for me that way.

I put 130 miles a day on my bike and run it 80 most of the time (in Florida).

Mike's a computer wiz and drives around the block until he's at exactly 5,000 miles before changing. I think it's that digital thinking....

Every 3-4,000 with Shell Rotella 5w40 Synthetic. I drain and replace the rear gear oil every other oil change with Royal Purple 75w140.
