Grasshopper with Mustang?

Anyone know if a standard "Grasshopper" drivers back rest is compatible with the 1600 mustang seat? Mustang #75891. I'm looking to upgrade from my stock seat, but want to keep my Grasshopper, any thoughts?

Grasshopper with Mustang?

There was talk of this in this thread:

http://www.vulcanbagger.com/phpBB3/v...=9195&start=30

Basically it is being worked on, grasshopper said a week or so ago "I have the 1500 model done w/mustang seat hopefully we can wrap the 1600 up as soon as it warms up!"

Grasshopper with Mustang?

I know for a fact the the grasshopper backrest will fit a mustang seat on a VN2K.

JMO, but I would sell your backrest for say $75sh and buy a used mustang seat with a backrest. It matches and looks better.

I picked up a lightly used mustang seat with backrest for $360 shipped. There are a few for sale on the forum right now and they come up on ebay every once and a while.

Good luck!

I would recomend going with the mustang seat with the mustang backrest, it looks better and you can adjust it up down forward and back and it slides out and you can put it in your bags if you dont want it on. And you can do all this while you are ridding.

LOL, I would love to see someone trying to put the backrest in their saddlebag while riding

Just make sure you do the mod from Gadget's site so you don't need the key for the bags...that could get a bit tricky getting the thing unlocked too!

LOL....... I've had my bags open up when I thought they were locked and they weren't. I would not recommend it.

Grasshopper with Mustang?

I asked a year ago. They said they were working on it. After a year, I might think the answer is no.

What if you have the mustang seat without the backrest?
