It was passed in committee yesterday (Wednesday)

It still has to be approved further, but looks like it will become law. I don't see this helping the environment much, but the I do see it becoming a pain in the ass.

Personally, I'm too worried about it, although I have modified exhaust. I should be outta here by then. Might be somewhere in Mexico by 2012.

AZ is trying to do away with their motorcycle emissions testing. The Governor signed the bill a year ago and it is pending EPA approval. I hope this push by California doesn't jeopardize that. I think it's more of a revenue generation tool than an air quality issue.

All you CA boys should write and call your Senators to object to this bill and let them know that if even if they go along with the intent of this bill, that 2009 motorcycles and older should be exempt.
