Young Rednecks get Married

Two young rednecks get married. They spend their wedding night up on the ridge, in an old cabin that is to be their home. The next morning the groom’s father is sitting on his front porch, whittling. His son comes up and silently sits down beside him.

The father doesn’t want to pry, so they just sit there, side by side, and whittle for a while. Finally the father’s curiosity gets the better of him, and he asks, "How come you ain’t with your bride?"

"I done left her, Pa."

"How come you done that, son?"

"She was a virgin, Pa."

Pa whittled some more, and then after a while pronounces: "You done right. If’n she ain’t good enough for her own family, she ain’t good enough for our’n."
