Check it out!
http://www.instructables.com/id/Moto...peaker_System/ These look pretty easy to build, I wonder how they sound, though ???

I think, as long as you have the back of the speakers enclosed and have a decent pair of speakers, it should sound alright.

I am not sure how these would sound either; however for the price it may be worth the try to see.
(That was kind of an interesting site. I hadn't seen it before -- found myself wandering around it for quite a few minutes. Found a couple other "handy" ideas while there.)

Yeah, I thought I might try and build a set to see how they turn out, I really don't have any place to mount an amp though. My bike is pretty loaded with accessories already, but it sure would be nice to have tunes and not have to fiddle around with helmet speakers and ear buds.

Hell Audio... CJ could just put in an entire PA system in the trailer for that matter.
CJ... if you figure out a way to shove another item under the seat... let me know. I know it is packed underneath mine. No room left. They did say something about putting the amp in the bags if one wanted to; but not sure where you would run the cords out without drilling a hole -- and quite frankly I'm not interested in adding holes to the bags -- something just isn't right about doing that.

I rode with a guy the other day that had a 2000 Nomad. He had a stereo set up and the amp was in a plastic case (like you'd use for fishing tackle or sewing stuff) and was jammed between the windshield and the handlebars. It was functional and weather proof, but personally I like my stuff to have a more "finished" look. But then, I'm a picky SOB.

This is likely the most interesting radio install I have seen:
http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...o-install.html Not quite the finished look, but it works for him.....

That's a pretty unique install. It's not for me, that's for sure - but if he is happy with it, that's all that matters. The bike basket on the luggage rack is a real classy touch as well. ::)

I did a little research on the speakers that he used and they supposedly have pretty good sound quality. Several people used them on their mc.
