quick question

Is the stock handlebar diameter 1"? Is it the same for the crash bars?
Ordering some speakers and really don't want to get it wrong... bike isn't here either.

Thanks for your time

quick question

The crash bars are 1 1/4". I remember when I installed my highway pegs. If you don't have a caliper, a good method of measuring diameter is to use an adjustable (Crescent) wrench. Close the jaws around the bar just enough so you can remove the wrench without scratching the finish. Then use a tape to measure the distance between the jaws.

quick question

On the 1600:

Handlebar = 1 inch
Front guard bar = 1 1/4 inch
Rear guard bar = 1 1/8 inch

Don't know for sure on the 1500's.

Handlebars are the same on the 1500 and 1600, the others, not too sure.

quick question

This place rocks!
Thanks for the crescent wrench tip!
I need to remember that they are not all 1500's

Are there a bunch of people here running the mp3 and speaker setup? If so where have you found the best mounting place to be (top/bottom of handle bars or crash bars or anywhere else)?

Thanks again!
