Tire Pressure Monitor

I ran across this today, and thought "this is pretty cool". A wireless tire pressure monitoring system for less than $200. This is for all of us who hate to get down there and check tire pressure. Check it out.

Be sure to Google "Tiregard". There's cheaper places to buy, such as Ebay....

I also have seen that Cliff. I was just wondering if those screw on monitoring tips would clear the rotors? Not much space in there even for decorative caps.

I have used one on my Goldwing, it is very accurate, at least as any tire guage. it also will display temp on both tires, it has a hi and lo warning for temp and pressure that you set parimiters but they don't give a chart as to safe ranges. you manualy turn on, auto off in 30 min of inactivity. When turned on it displays last reading but in about 10-15 seconds it displays actual pressure. The watch batteries last more than a yr. I have 90 deg valve stems on the Wing and the sensors clear with room to spare. there is a locking devise for the sensors but I don't use them. The price seems to be rising so grab them before their $250, I paid $150 in Dec. I love these things and they are getting good reviews on the Goldwing boards.

Thanks for the review hungryeye, would be good if it would stay on to permit monitoring while riding. Had a tire go flat while riding once and would have been good to have a little more advance warning.

I'm tempted. Price on E-Bay not that much less and shipping is a lot more, net is about $14 less on E-Bay, but you might want to buy a little more at the cycle store and save on shipping.

It does stay on till your parked for 30 minutes, it is the size of of a typical car keyless entry fob. I have it velcroed to my handlebar near the brake res. I can see it fine with my aging eyes, it will flash when it hits a lo or hi.

It is an amazing gadget, there are other brands that costs twice as much and you have to remove tires to in stall and the don't read pressure till your going down the road, this one reads before you mount your bike. There are several brand names selling the same thing, mine is labled Show Chrome.

Also, mine is black but is shown in white, I guess you will have inquire on color when ordering, but again mine is Showchrome.

Thanks for the heads-up, VulcanE. Since my Nad now has 2 extra tires tagging along (Voyager trike kit) I was wondering if the 4 tre version that they offer will work on the 2 cycle tires and then the two trike tires? Anybody care to guess??

On a 4 tire setup the forth tire icon would constantly blink and beep as low pressure. I have heard that there may be a trike version soon.

You might inquire as to whether you could add two more sensors from Tiregard, but I doubt the monitor would support it.

Many RV'ers use "Pressure Pro". The monitor is larger, but then you have more room for it, and it definately supports your four tires.... Here's a link

The 4 tire version should work fine on a Voyager Trike conversion since it does have 4 wheels total.

E-Bay price went up $20, so pulled the trigger at Cruiser Customizing. Never going to have a flat sneak up on me again.

I got it for $155 here: http://www.wingstuff.com/pgroup_deta...essure_Monitor Actually, I talked with my brother about it (he's the tire center manager at a Costco) and after looking it over, he not only said it looks good, he also wanted a set for his Mean Streak, so was able to get 2 and free shipping (over $199). They have decent prices on Plexxus and some other stuff too.
