oil leak

i found an oil leak at the inside base of the cylinders. my inside cylinder acorn nuts are leaking...what is the best
way of getting to them without removing the throttle body
and breather tube? as it is i cannot get to them. thanks for the help!

I think you have answered your own question. As long as the crossover duct is in there, its pretty much impossible to get to them. Maybe the upper two would be accessable with it in, but the lowers not likely. Mine are weeping some too but the crossover is gone so I was able to get at them quite easily. Is the leak somethijng you can live with or is it not so good? It looks like a pretty big job to get the throttle body off too!! :(

well, the leak is not so bad...i could probably live with it. it does bother me to know its leaking though!!!

...yeah, I hear ya. I hate leaks. I did manage to get a wrench on mine and get them a bit tighter, but time will tell if its helped. I can live with it the way it is, and if it gets worse, I'll deal with it then.. :)

Hey guys with those leaks would a little Lucas Oil stabilizer help swell those seals a little stop the leaking? Just a thought I remember from Caddman in threads past.

The leaks we are seeing are more than likely from the gasket that seals the bottom of the jugs to the crankcase. I think gasket replacement will be the only cure if just tightening the nuts doesn't help.
