Some are here, some are coming! UPDATE!

WooHoooo!! The TFI has arrived, and the stealth thunder kit is on the way!
Also, I have received the coasters I ordered and should be seeing the delivery of the Kury brake, heel, and toe shift covers soon.
While ordering the Kury parts, I also came across a closeout item and got that too. It is an LED rear light and signal kit. $99.00, off from $159.00. And on sale was an H-4 head lamp. Might as well have that too.
And since the wallet was already out and open, I ordered the Drifter longer brake pedal. My local dealer says it will be in this Wednesday.
The next week or so is going to be Fuuuunnnn! As electronicly challenged as I am, I'll work on pics and updates as we go along.
This might even require some prayer, so that all of the members of my household might be protected from the madman in the garage.

And one more thing, thanks to all that have gone before. Your mods and your writings have given me the inspiration and the willingness to forge ahead. I will, from time to time, be refering to previous threads as they are a good source of info. Thanks.

Good luck with all the installs, at least you've got a great place to ask questions.

what did the Drifter brake pedal set you back? I would love to have a bit more room for my big feets.

Congrats Paul, nothing like adding new stuff to make you feel better (but still praying for the family )
Go slow when you remove the reed valves from the heads, and you'll be able to reuse the gaskets on the coasters.
Looking forward to the pics & up-dates.

Yeah, vulcan, the weather hasn't been right on days when I can ride, so the next best thing is doing add-ons and upgrades. And of course, talking about working on the bike is the next best thing to working on it.

LW, the dealer wanted $80 total. The Kury version was $119.00. And that is without the rubber. Except for a slight difference in the bend, they do the same job, arrive at pretty much the same place, and both are chromed. I talked with another Nomad owner who had done this and he demonstrated his ability to get to the pedal from the boards and the highway pegs. HUGE difference. Safety factor alone worth the price. Part # is on Gadgets under bolt on section.

Congratulations! You have succumbed to the "Modification Disease". There is no turning back and no known cure in the entire Universe.

My prayers are with you. Enjoy!

Some are here, some are coming! UPDATE!

Today was the day! Took some time off from work (sick day, cough wheeze). Had a few general things to take care of regarding an estate I'm settling, and found myself with time on my hands. What to do, What to doooo?? ???

I grabbed my tools, backedthe car out of the garage and spent all afternoon with the mistress. Thunder air kit is on, TFI is in, coasters installed, brake pedal replaced, lights, bling on the shifter and pedal, all done. She still ain't no rocket, but she's got some new wings! Wooohoooo! quieter w/o the solyniods, nice sound of the intake, but not overpowering. Strong pull with throttle applied and a little better take off under just normal load.

And if anyone here is thnking about that brake pedal change out, let me know, I found a new trick to deal with the spring that's not in Gadgets instructions. I'll be letting them know what I did a little later. Let' Go Ride!!

Congrats on completing the up-grades (so far). This disease that we all seem to have, will peak, then a re-lapse, then a time when you seem to be getting over it, then it'll hit again.

psss't................. It does make you fell good though ;)
