Run Brake Turn Question

Anyone have a problem with law enforcement types and red turn signals.
Iwas under the impression that all turn signals had to be amber. Am i misinformed?

Rear turn signals can be red. Front must be amber. Running lights in the rear (whether turn signals or just tail lights) must be red. (but a lot of folks use the amber). That's why the Run/Brake/Turn supplies the red lenses. If you convert the rear turn signals to running lights, they are supposed to be red.

Like Nighthawk said, the rear turn signals can either be red or amber, but the amber can only be seen when the turn signal is active. With the Run-Turn-Brake controller, the directional lights are on, acting as brake/run lights, so they MUST be red.

A discussion I saw elsewhere pointed out that while cops are not likely to ticket, repair or otherwise, for the amber rear running lights, they do make a good excuse to pull you over if they want to without any other specific justification - I changed both my bikes' to red.
