1600 Nomad 1/2 bike cover

I use Tour King ( http://www.tourkingcovers.com ). I'm using the one from my 02 Nomad on my 08. I also had one of theirs on my Wing. I've had no problem with them and they fold up pretty small.

Here's the link to the picture of it on a Nomad:

I like having access to the bags with the cover on so if you forget something after you put the bike to bed for the night, you don't have to remove the cover.

Which model do you use. I didn't see one for the Nomad.

1600 Nomad 1/2 bike cover

This is the one I use
http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...ID/0/IMID/1194
It is good quality, easy on and off, folds up pretty small, And with a fairing and trunk it fits good and tight, just like in the photo.

http://cycleshade.com/ $40.25 (buy the larger one)

I've had one of these for a couple of years now. Good in Sun or Rain. Folds up into it's own small bag. They stand behind their product quality. I exchanged one with broken bungee without a hassle.

What is the purpose of a half cover it will only keep half your bike clean. And everytime i have used a cover while on a trip it scratches the heck out of the paint from all the dust on the bike. The only time i cover mine is if i just wash it and its sitting in the garage. I just throw a sheet over it. what does the kuryakn cover on the inside of it they say its soft is it fleece?????????? mayby that would help with scratching

I use my Cycle Shade all through the summer. It keeps the sun off my seat. It also works for the unexpected rain....

I just use a $20 wally world cycle cover if it looks like rain at work, most days I use nothing. It hasn't scratched mine yet. :-)

For me, a half cover is good when traveling because I don't have room on the bike for a full cover, most half covers I've seen fold up really small. But still do a decent enough job keeping the instruments and seat dry and comfortable the next morning.

The inside of the Kuryakyn, where the fairing and trunk are, is lined with flannel, I use mine every day I ride to work. It keeps the dew and/or frost off the bike. It hasn't scratched anything yet and I've been using it about 3 years now. The only thing it don't cover is the top of the saddlebags.
