Hey Texas Members

I have a friend who will be relocating to Texas sometime in January. She is taking at job at Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge near Eagle Lake. Can any of you help her out with finding a safe place to buy a house that is a reasonable drive to get there.

Any help will be appreciated.

JussMatt is in Richmond. Maybe he'll chime in if he isnt swamped with his new job with Rosenberg PD. Rosenberg is 36 miles from Eagle Lake via Hwy 90-Alt.

Sealy is only17 miles from Eagle Lake, and even closer to APCNWR, and then there is Columbus, at 17 miles from Eagle Lake. Sealy & Columbus are situated along I-10. Rosenberg off of I-59.

Of the 3, Rosenberg is closer to Houston-proper and all the things that having 4 million neighbors brings with it. Were I relocating I would probably look at Sealy, since it is still "country" while being close enough to the big city foraccess to good hospitals, malls etc .
