bought my 2005 nomad brand new in 05. the blk/slvr model. put 33,000 virtually trouble free miles on her. on 8sept08 traded her in on a 08 red/blk model. with 3 miles on her. couldnt be happier. now i get to buy more bling all over again. going to stick with the v/h baggers as my last set had 33,000 miles on them and i hadnt had any problems with them....

Every now and then you do need a new one. I do like that red/blk comb.

I was lusting after the 1700 Voyager today but realistically I will probably keep my '06 until it doesn't run anymore

about 2 weeks before we sold the 05 my lady and i and several friends rode thru new mexico from kansas on our annual bike trip. went to angel fire, eagles nest, red river, taos, santa fe, ruidoso, alamagordo, roswell, tucumcari and then home for a total of 1970 miles. wonderful trip. a lot of pleasant memories on the 05... but the red/blk is faster isnt it?

Rick, the 08 red & black is a very fast model!!! I absolutely love mine, and I guarantee you will too. I have the baggers on mine as well, and I really love the sound. Congrats on the new bike!

You just need to go a little faster and get the red paint to start flaking off; its all black underneath (had mine 110 today smooth as glass)

The black part is, can't vouch for the red!

The only time I saw a red and black Nomad was when I passed it with my blue & silver but I hope you have as much fun on your new bike as you had on your 05.

Welcome rickmeister56 from Long Island New York!
The "rickmeister" The "Rickman" The Rick-a-row-nee!
Sorry rickmeister56, couldn't help that!
Anyway I'm with Wolfman. My tongue was wagging when I saw the Voyager. Right now I'm curious about the price, the weight and why it's not offered in solid black.
I'm still going to keep my 07 for a while. I'm 52 years old so I don't think i'll wait as long as Wolfman but, we'll see what my Financier(wife) says when we go to the IMS in January.
