I can't find anywhere on the net where this is found to be false. If you find anything that argues this, please post. I think Sarah Palin is great from what I see so far.

Before you dismiss the fact that Sarah Palin is Commander of the Alaska National Guard consider this: Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor
defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks, and they are on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.

As governor of Alaska , Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counter terrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden's and certainly by far exceeds Obama's.

She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counter terrorism plans. Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska 's proximity to Russia, she may have security clearances we don't even know about.

According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets.
She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.

My fanatism meter just got a bump.

When I hear things that seem fanatical no matter what side it is on.

The skeptical side of me wonders how being Governor of Alaska being so vital to all of our health and well being, and the safety of our country lying in that Governors hands......why have we never heard that before?

It seems that we would have all heard about the importance of Alaska all during the cold war.

We all heard about Cheyenne mountain and such, but not about the Alaskan governor and how important to our safety they were.

I'm thinking that perhaps this is a little overblown, no matter what party and sex the Alaskan governor was.

Personally, I don't care whether she is "on the front lines" of national security or has some super secret clearance. She is a far better choice than Biden and Obama. Talk about more of the same. McCain/Palin are getting my vote.

Women are digging her too. I saw on the TV this morning that the designer eye glases she wears are selling out across the country. And get this, the glasses are designed by a guy named, "Kawasaki"! She's one of us!!! ;)
