7$ Exhaust Tips

I picked up a Modded exhaust system, and it was drilled w/a 2" hole saw.. Look Ok but the gap was bugging me,, then the left.. so to fill in the gap I tried a few copper reducers,, 2' to 1 1/4" the same size as stock exit pipe,,, seems to help alittle with low end torque like Cadd Q said... so I trim the 1 1/4" down alittle and drive the reducer in deeper.....Ill paint them BLACK,, BUT all in all not bad,,Plus changed the tone alittle,,, AND you can use exhaust reducers as well about 5/8$ Rich

I like the looks ! I'm sure it will help the low end torque too. On my cobra's, I put a 1/4'' bolt through the exhaust tips to help regain the lost low end torque. I think you will note a difference.

Your mufflers look like Cherry Bombs now! Let us know if you notice any difference in performance or torque.

THANKS for the ideas,, I may add that bolt mod... and IMO it does add alittle bit to the low end,,,,NOT a TON but Seems to help..May be in my head and there isnt much there anyway ::).. AND it does HELP the sound alittle as well.a little different tone I thought about the tips againg so thats a maybe..I can allways paint them later.....BUT the maine reason I put them on was to cover the space from the mod job.So all around Im happy .......Rich

I regards to the low end, I noticed the V&H gives me more low end but I lose some at top end. I think that's typically how it works but I've been known to be wrong in the past.

Edit: My bad. Didn't notice where you said the pipes came that way.

Here's what i did with my pipes. After the muffler modification(that sounds great) I didn't like the big open holes in the end so i made these out of perforated steel and just riveted them in place.

Nice add on and good idea Jimbo, I have V&H so it would take a 4 inch copper plug for those which i dont think would work.

Radco,

Great idea! They really finish it out nicely.

Jimbo,
Another great idea! I think this could work for me with my Cobra Slash Cuts and tone them down a little.
