This is just a small thing, but..........

...........I installed a pair of Phat II 5X2.5 risers today. They really improved the slow-speed handling. Similar results when I owned my Intruder. I swapped out the stock bars for a Harley FSLT Heritage bar, and it made a BIIGG difference. Didn't want to go to the trouble this time of taking off the Iso-Grips and all the controls, so decided on using the Phat IIs. Good result.

Glad it worked out for you, now go have a couple of brewskies, and sit back and admire your ride.

Hey Bill, I got the same set up, But I had the shop swap the stock bar for the heritage bars before I picked up my bike, then a few months later I added the risers.

They really do make a BIG difference

Really good to see you the other day

Brad

The Harley Heritage bars extend your reach upwards and back. I accomplished the same result with these risers, just with less trouble. LOL! You end up having better control (at least I do) at very slow speeds, plus in many cases, it relieves the dreaded 'Dead Hand Syndrome.' I'm a little disappointed, because the Heritage bars on my last bike got rid of the dead-hand thing completely. Riding about 120 miles yesterday, these risers haven't completely solved that problem for me (left hand) but it IS better than with the stock bars.

I have pics, but I cannot post them. I don't have a Photobucket or other type account, and being the crochety old fart I am, if I can't upload them directly from my computer, it just doesn't get done! Heheheh!
If someone wants to post them on this thread, I'll be happy to email two pics of the risers, with the shield still off the bike, and one pic of my last bike with the Heritage bar. Best I can do.

Yeah Vulcan E has one sweet looking ride. I really like his truck, and the Nomad emblem on the back. And I'm not even a trunk man. That does look sweet tho. Should I ever go witha trunk and faring, I hope mine will look that good when finished. His should be a result for all of us to shoot for. Really sharp!

To me, the Phat II's were not a small thing, they were a BIG thing. Improved handling, but also, they eliminated the dead hand thing. Or in my case, dead fingers. The ring finger and little finger on my throttle hand would go to sleep, tingle, after about 20 minutes. Everytime I rode, no matter how I rode. The Phat II's got rid of that annoyance!
