K&N vs. Spectre

Just a curious question:

How much of a performance difference is there between the K&N 9"x2" air filter and the Spectre 9"x2" cotton oiled High Air flow filter? ???

Other than price - $34 vs. $9. :-/

Thanks,

Well, you should only have to buy the K&N filter once.

K&N vs. Spectre

I've used the Spectre filter. You can clean it and re-oil it too....like a K&N. I also have the K&N round filter. It's a little more robust and the chrome cover fits a little better.

Are you meaning the 9" filter that comes with the Spectre chrome housing? I didn't realize it was reusable.

Neither did I.....??? A season is about it for mine.. It gets gray with rain, and looks pretty shagged out by the end of summer.

the spectre that comes with the kit is NOT re-usable, but you can buy a spectre knock off of a K&N. You will only buy K&N ONCE.

I also found a Spectre 9" Blue Cotton Fiber on Amazon for $6.75.
But I think I'll go with the K&N's.

By the way Blue Rebel, I'm a family man too, so I think it's great that you have a picture of your daughter in the signature pic.
