Tsukayu fairing installed - with lots of pictures

OK, I got her installed and here's the scoop - For a 2007 Black Nomad

Got a Painted gloss Black(not color matched) Tsukayu light tint 5" with full stereo- $1,309.. I received the fairing 7 weeks after order. The fairing was well protected in a handmade fiberglass coffin type box. Shipping weight including brackets was 32lbs.

Quality is outstanding.
Fitment is excellent.
Finish is excellent
Unit is fiberglass with a SMOOTH inner fairing (one of the few available)
Paint is outstanding and so close to stock gloss black that I would recommend saving your money for custom color match and just get stock black
I find I am very proud of the aesthetic enhancement from the addition of this fairing - my Nomad resembles a "sleeker" Street Glide when soloed out
Audio system is capable - if nothing else, there might be too many features for a motorcycle system.
Volume is excellent.
Noted - If you set the unit to sound good while stationary with a decent amount of base, you will overdrive the speakers while underway - cut back on the Base and Loudness feature so you can crank it up while underway
Remote is not practical.
Marine cover is included
Multi-control is difficult to use while underway.
USB storage is neat, convenient feature.
Audio Unit is apparently a Hong Kong Version as model does not display under google search
Speakers are 6" round Punch Rockford Fosgate quality speakers and look neat - you can see the speaker vibrate
Wind protection is non-or very little - you are 'in the wind' with the 5" windshield, but it looks damn good - I will be adding higher windshields for cooler temps
Easy on and off with included attachment coupling.
Install took longer getting the old windshield/light bar stuff off than mounting the fairing.
To use the brackets provided, YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR FORK SIDE MOUNTING BRACKETS, thus, you will lose your lightbar and signals - I have some LED aftermarket signals on the way.

Here is how it looks now - I would I do it again - in a heartbeat. I hope this helps some of you considering fairings.
***sorry about the background - I was wanting to ride

Hi Mikesth,
The fairing looks great ! I have the Tsukayu fairing web site book marked. I also am looking for the right fairing for my blk. 06'. I am a little disappointed where you say......

"To use the brackets provided, YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR FORK SIDE MOUNTING BRACKETS, thus, you will lose your light bar and signals - I have some LED after market signals on the way."

Is there another option where the owner can keep an after market bar and driving lights that use the OEM installation bolts ? I put on a Cobra light bar that utilizes the signals and where the OEM bar use to bolt on. It looks like the installation "brackets" cover all the threaded holes used.

Great addition Mike. That'll look good when you're chasing the Mrs. down the road.

Hey Mikesth, that looks AWESOME. I to found the 5" windshield to be useless in blocking wind. I got the black 5", and like you say, it looks GOOOOOD, but is not practical. I also got a 10" and it is perfect. You should be able to mount a regular Nomad lightbar under your tripple tree, at worst use a peice of flatstock to move it forward 2" so the spots will clear the fairing (that's what I had to do) But any way, welcome to the "Fairing Nad Club".

That's really nice! Are the speakers "marine-grade" or is there some way to protect them from the elements? Not that it rains here much, but I do a lot of riding where rain is more likely.

Looks Damn Good Mike!!!!....uh...I mean Tiny!!! LOL! Seriously Bro...that's a sharp set up!! Were you able to use your radio equipment you already had, or did you have to get some new? If ya got new, let me know...I might be interested in your old if you're selling it... Then again....it might be going on Kim's bike!! LOL!

Looks good Mike. I too like the look of the Street Glide, but I'm gonna keep mine the way she is asthetically for a while. You did a great job of explaining things we would want to know--not just the "form" but also the "function". Hope you enjoy it as much as you were expecting to.

Ricky, sent you an email - Yes, the Tsukayu brackets use the two OEM fork bolts ( you will note on the stock setup, there are brackets which hold at the mount points by connecting to two stock holes in the fork covers - these two holes are the Tsuakyu bracket mount covers) - there is no room to use these in the Tsuakyu fairing as the tunnel is too narrow.

There is not another option that I know of - more info in the email.

It did force me to find some slick signals though.

Thanks VulcanE! I'm enjoying it a lot!

Thanks for the heads-up about the 10" - it will make it easier when I order - will probably still be tinted though.

My issue with the light bar wasn't so much the light clearance, though they wouldn't fit, but more the removal of the OEM side brackets required to mount the fairing.

Ultimately, this will look slick with LED fork wrap running/signal lights - like this

Yes, they are supposed to be marine grade - appear to be - no foam at outer ring, just slick plastic
