Removed warning stickers....

... from the saddlebags yesterday. I have never used so many curse words in such a short period of time!! :(" title="" border="0"/>

Those suckers are tough as nails. Tried WD-40, alcohol, hair dryer and finally resorted to radical treatment with "Goof-off". My fingernails are worn down, but in the end, with a treatment of polishing compound and a good wax, I was happy I did spend the time to do it.

Guess Kawasaki wanted them to stay on for some reason

I used a hair dryer for a few minutes on all the stickers. Being careful and taking it slow, they came right off. My bike was an '07, new in the crate, and had been at the dealer, in the box, for almost a year.
Used the same method with my '02 Intruder. Worked fine. Just have to get the glue warm enough and work slowly and smoothly. A little Goo-Gone and wax to clean and buff it out.

Hi Smokey, yes the hair dryer didn't work anymore - the stickers were probably on too long already and wouldn't budge. Decided not to use the heat gun At least they are off now, and everything is nicely waxed and polished :)

I blasted mine off with a good car wash wand in about 5 seconds :)

Same here - hair dryer did the trick on my '05.

Those bag stickers were a pain. I still have residue on the bags I couldn't get off.

During make ready, I told the dealer I would put on the stickers I wanted. He said he felt the same way and left them off.

I didn't know the dealer put them on. My bike was right out of the crate, and they were fresh enough that they peeled off easily. Unfortunately I also peeled off the one with the VIN number, so all I have is the number stamped on the neck

Also I never saw the clear plastic ones on the aluminum bag trim (the "speed lines") until it had baked in the summer sun for months. I scraped that off one crumb at a time with my thumbnail over a period of some weeks.

Simonize car polish removed all the residue, but Turtle Wax tar & bug remover should work as well. That kakes off most all paint-safe adhesives AFAIK.

The one time it didn't work for me was because some doofus at the body shop had clear-coated right over the tar spots on my wife's fender. :(" title="" border="0"/>

Took me a while to figure out why they wouldn't rub off.

I set mine in the sun, used a hair dryer and a credit card to get them suckers off. Then used zippo lighter fluid to get the glue off, then a good coat of wax. Took a couple of hours to get all them off.

I didn't know either, caddmannQ. I was surprised when the make ready tech asked me if I wanted the warning stickers put on. The only sticker I removed was for break in limits on the speedometer. My Nomad is an 2007.

sounds a bit weird I know but if you ever have trouble with the sticky residue left after removing stickers, get hold of some eucalyptus oil (squeezed from our aussie gum trees), it doesn't touch paint and not only takes off the gunk but your hands smell nice afterwards! (does real good at removing ultra painful sticky bandages as well) Suggest you don't use it when around amorous Koala bears.

HehHehHeh...I don't think you'll find a Koala outside a cage within 10,000 miles of here mate.

Mine baked on for a year or more in the hot TX sun, and a few wax jobs. so now they wont come off using anything, period. Bought some chaps and covered them up.
