If you need a motorcycle lift...
Harbor Freight has there more expensive one on sell for $60 in the store, regular $89. I also used a 15% off coupon which brought it down to around $55 with tax.
It's this one: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=2792 Just thought I'd tell everyone. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Thanks for the info. I may be going to Baton Rouge this week. If I do, I'll pick one up. Thanks again.

If you need a motorcycle lift...
Last year I went down to the local Harbor Freight to get that exact same jack for the $59.99 price, and they were sold out. The gave me a "rain check" on it. On the way home I stopped by Sears and they had their Craftsman jacks on sell for $69.99, just $10 more, and as I was wanting it to use in the morning, I went ahead and got it. Other than the color, they appeared to be the same.

That looks like the same lift I have. It's really nice. I bought it last year at a similar savings.

It appears Harbor Freight's sales are regional. After reading this post yesterday I made a trip up to my local store to check it out. To make a long story short 1) It appears harbor Freight hires idiots and 2) the sales items are not the same across the country.
As the store idjuts couldn't answer the question "Are store sales all the same or does it change by state/region" I had to escalate it to a DM to find out that all the store sales are not the same.

If you need a motorcycle lift...
Doc,
It has loops where you can put straps on it but they are not far enough out to the sides for me. I'm always nervous getting the bike high enough to get the rear wheel out. Once I get it in the air and resting on the lock, I always put jack stands under the rear crash bars to support it. I also prop up the front so it won't get unbalanced when you take the rear tire off. I always use two blocks of 3/4" wood between the pad and the frame on the front and one on the rear at the tabs. Seems to hold it fine. I haven't used straps on it. Zoom45

I use jackstands front and rear under the crash bars too. I am thinking of getting the Harbour Freight Dolly item#94778 (about $40.00) and using it. Remember to get you a jack adapter from Idaho if you wanna make it go easier still. Be a good investment.
