New pics of my bike

Last night, after the Packer Bronco game, I put on the chrome side covers from Cruisercustomizing.com. Fit was perfect!

Very nice jon!...and basic black to boot!

Where'd you get the fender tips and how hard was the installation? Really sets off the front and back of the bike and gives it a nice finished look!

Ride safe.

Nice touch, Jon! I like all the chrome. Of course, we all know that nothing's better than black and chrome.

With mine, I have to mix a little silver in here and there.

Trip

BTW, were those pics taken in downtown Tyler? Looks like it. I work off the downtown Tyler area also at Trinity Mother Frances.

I went to the local AutoZone parts store on purchased a 20 foot roll of flexible chrome molding used for car trim. I measured the areas and cut sections to fit a little long. Once I cleaned the fenders well, I pulled off the adhisive backing and slowly pressed the molding around the bottom fender edge leaving a little extra on the ends. I then took a very shary knife and trimed the ends to the edge of the fender. I then used a piece of fine sand paper to clean the edge of the molding to make the cut look professional. I messed up a few times on the front and had to use several sections of the chrome. I just kept trying until I got it right. I took my time and finished in about an hour. Several hours later I tested the strength by attempting to pull off a trim section. It wouldn't budge. In fact, I could feel the fender start to bow out as I pulled. I feel that if in a few years the strip does come off or start to fade, it cost less than $20 and with a little GOO B Gone, I will just do it again.

Federal Courthouse parking lot, downtown Tyler, TX USA.

P.S. I work there, not reporting in for sentencing.

I test drove a Gold Wing a couple of weeks ago. While I was riding, the biggest Honda dealership in East Texas appraised the trade-in value of my bike (because they were only wanting to make me happy). One year old, perfect condition with only 6,000 miles. They offered me $6,500! And would go no higher. I was shocked.

I rode home happy to keep my Nomad for a few more years.

My plan is to purchse a GoldWing in the future, but I plan on keeping my Nomad. Nothing like Nomad and a Wing in your stable.
