It's official!!!
WOO HOO...I'm now a Nomad owner as of yesterday. Thanks to all who posted answers to some questions I had. This forum is a great source of info. The bike I found is an 04 FI with only 1500 miles. Everything I read about these bikes seems to be true. Previously I owned a Volusia and while it is a good ride for the money the Nomad is much nicer. The previous owner is a retired gentleman who kept it garaged. He bought it in 05 as a demo with 150 miles. The only puzzle is that all of the Vulcan emblems and the 3 trim strips on each saddlebag were missing when he bought it. This concerned me until I actually saw the bike, because otherwise it is in very nice condition. Seems like a dealer would want the brand name showing. He put tank badges on. But I'd like to find the emblems for the windshield and backrest and the trim strips. Also he didn't get an owners manual or toolkit. I really don't want to pay stealer prices. Any ideas?
