HD part # Exhaust Gaskets???
Greetings,
Anybody know the part number for the HD mesh exhaust gaskets which would work for the 1700 engine? I am going to put the V&H ProPipe back on, and like those mesh gaskets HD uses. Plus, they be less $$$... Ride safe, Smokier

The part number for the Harley exhaust gasket that fits the 1500/1600's is 17048-98.
I am not sure if they fit the 1700's though. |

HD Gasket?
Just curious, why use HD gasket rather than OEM?

And don't forget better... They're a proper crush gasket. Kaw's isn't, really.

What RedJay and Peg said
Plus: They are MESH like a thick brillo pad, and spring back a few times. E.G. can get more than one use out of them. This is handy when playing with the baffle and header pipes. Take off stock, put on X, take off X to adjust, put stock back on in the meantime, etc. But mostly, CHEAPER and AVAILABLE. Ride safe, Smokier |
