Windscreen scratches
http://www.skygeek.com/novus.html
Don't know if any of you have used this for polishing scratches out of your windscreen. My wife picked up an 8 oz. bottle of the #2 at the Harley shop. I ordered 8 oz. bottles of the #1 and #3 from the skygeek site for $14 which includes shipping. The #2 works on fine scratches, #3 for heavy scratches, and the #1 is the finish polish.

Windscreen scratches
Have some. Hand polishing doesn't seem to be effective. Have been looking for a small buffer.
No luck on cheap. any ideas? have old face shields to practice on. don't really know what I'm doing anyway.

Windscreen scratches
Skeeter, I developed scratched I guess from dirt between the big and sub screens. I raised my screen all the way up and had to lower the sub screen. Must have been some grime between the two and scratched both. I haven't used the Novus on those spots yet. I'm waiting for the #3 and #1 to come in before I pull the screen and disassemble. I did try the #2 on the upper screen and loved the crystal clear and shiny results. I'm anxious to work on the scratches. I have an orbital buffer I use on my truck but it is too big for the sub screen. Don't have any small buffer besides my high speed 4.5". Too fast, it would burn the screen.

Windscreen scratches
I have tried polishing compound in a bottle by hand with minimal results. It would seem to me that if I tried my variable speed drill with a buffing head that that would do the job. Presently, I have a Premeux fairing on order and I will save my windshield and try buffing out the fine swirls as a winter project.
